Ducati has unveiled the latest $39,995 MSRP Multistrada RS, the most performance-focused evolution of the Multistrada platform to date.
Power comes from the 1103cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 derived from the Panigale superbike range, and the motor is equipped with an STM-EVO dry clutch and Akrapovic exhaust. In Euro 5+ configuration, the engine produces a claimed 180 hp at 13,500 rpm. Shorter final drive ratios are employed to enhance acceleration compared to the Multistrada Pikes Peak.

Kerb weight is listed at 465 lb, which is a seven-pound reduction over the Pikes Peak model. The chassis features the trademark single-sided swingarm, a monocoque frame, and Marchesini forged aluminum 17-inch wheels. Tire fitment consists of Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV Corsa rubber in 120/70 front and 190/55 rear dimensions. Suspension is managed by semi-active Öhlins Smart EC 2.0, carried from the previous generation Panigale V4 (the latest version we tested here runs the new 3.0 system).
Braking performance comes from twin 330 mm discs with Brembo Stylema monobloc calipers, utilizing Panigale-grade brake pads, supported by Bosch-Brembo cornering ABS. Further weight savings are achieved via a titanium subframe (5.5 lb lighter than steel) and a lithium-ion battery. The subframe has been reinforced to accept a top box, enabling the use of a full three-piece pannier arrangement.

Electronic support incorporates Ducati’s latest suite of rider aids, including the debut of Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO), which applies predictive algorithms to adjust intervention levels. The RS offers five riding modes (Race, Sport, Touring, Urban, Wet), four suspension presets (Track, Dynamic, Touring, Low Grip), and four power delivery maps. It is the only Multistrada variant to feature a ‘Full Power’ option, providing 180 hp in all gears with a dedicated throttle response.
Additional systems include radar-assisted Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Detection, and Forward Collision Warning, displayed via a 6.5-inch TFT with RS-specific graphics. Cosmetic details include carbon fiber beak, mudguard, handguards, and heat shields, RS logos, and a numbered black anodized aluminum plaque on the top yoke.
Expect to see it in dealer showrooms in March of 2026.
