WorldSBK Race Two
Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) and Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) put on a fabulously entertaining race for the watching fans on Sunday afternoon at Motorland – until Toprak eventually ran a little wide and the seemingly endless passes and re-passes from the championship top two came to a sudden end. Razgatlioglu had gone wide on Lap 12, and lost 1.3 seconds.
Bulega took what was his second chance to shoot off into the distance and cut the championship advantage of Razgatlioglu to 36 points. It had been 39 when we all arrived in Spain.

An earlier deliberate late braking manoeuvre after four laps with Razgatlioglu again on the outside into the two long lefts, made a true gap between the top two, only for Razgatlioglu to bridge it and restart the almost tactile battle once again.
In the end, Razgatlioglu was 3.248 seconds behind Bulega at the flag, after 18 laps.
Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) was an assured and confident third, although this time almost five seconds from his team-mate’s winning pace.
Andrea Iannone (Team Pata Go Eleven Ducati) took a determined fourth place after he had finally caught and passed the highly potent Jonathan Rea (Pata Maxus Yamaha).
Rea would secure fifth place; made more secure when Sam Lowes (ELF Marc VDS Racing Team Ducati) crashed out of the top places near the end.
Alex Lowes (bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team) was sixth, one second up on Andrea Locatelli (Pata Maxus Yamaha).
Eighth was Danilo Petrucci (Barni Spark Racing Team Ducati), Axel Bassani (bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team) was ninth and Xavi Vierge (Honda HRC) tenth. Tarran Mackenzie (MGM BONOVO Racing Ducati) secured 11th place, equalling his season best result.
Toprak now has 523 points to Bulega’s 487.
Remy Gardner (GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team) was 12th in Race Two and Garrett Gerloff (Kawasaki WorldSBK Team) 14th.

WorldSSP Race Two
Can Öncü (Yamaha bLU cRU Evan Bros Racing) and Stefano Manzi (Ten Kate Racing Yamaha) were the final two fighting for the race win on Sunday, just as they are also the only two who can still win the championship itself, with two full rounds left.
Their final Race Two battle, at the end of an epic contest, that saw not only those two involved in the fight for podium places, as the leading group featured six or more riders at some stages.

In the end, four riders were left with podium ambitions.
Oncu and Manzi were the two side-by-side across the line, with Race One winner Valentin Debise (Renzi Corse Ducati) third and Philipp Öttl (Feel Racing WorldSSP Team Ducati) fourth – by just 0.499 seconds.
Fifth and sixth places were taken by team-mates Jaume Masia (Orelac Racing VerdNatura Ducati) and Xavi Cardelus.
Tom Booth-Amos (PTR Triumph Factory Racing) won a three rider struggle with Filippo Farioli (MV Agusta Reparto Corse) and Alberto Surra (Yamaha BLU CRU Evan Bros Team) for seventh position.
The last place in the top ten was taken by Federico Caricasulo (D34G WorldSSP Racing Team Ducati).
In the championship standings, Manzi leads Oncu by 380 points to 320. Booth-Amos is third with 223 and Masia is fourth with 219.

WorldSBK Superpole Race
A fabulous Superpole Race battle between eventual winner Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) and Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) ended up in a duel deep into the final two left hand corners of the tenth lap.
Bulega, once again, was able to hold a tighter line than the BMW rider could in the final sector, and was stilll able to drive out hard enough on the exit to win by 0.105 seconds.

Both top riders put in full effort for the whole race, and went through a full gamut of passing surprises and desire to get out in front in what was one of the best races between them that we have yet seen.
In a happy moment for the home fans, Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) shadowed the leading two all the way, and secured a podium finish – just 0.7 seconds behind his team-mate Bulega.
Andrea Iannone (Team Pata Go Eleven Ducati) was fourth, with Sam Lowes (ELF Marc VDS Racing Team Ducati) in his wheel tracks. The official time screens had the top five in a single group, but Lowes was 1.8 seconds down at the flag.
Alex Lowes (bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team) was the victor in a final personal duel with Danilo Petrucci (Barni Spark Racing Team Ducati), as they finished sixth and seventh respectively.
Jonathan Rea (Pata Maxus Yamaha) was eighth, finally riding on his own, with Michael van der Mark (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) ninth and Xavi Vierge (Honda HRC) tenth.
Garrett Gerloff (Kawasaki WorldSBK Team) was 15th and Remy Gardner (GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team) 16th.
After the sprint, there is one more WorldSBK Race on its way at Motorland – the full distance Race Two.

WorldSBK Race One
A super-tense opening race at Motorland saw the top two championship contenders fight so hard for the win that second place rider Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) set the fastest lap of the race on the 18th and final lap, closing in to within 0.030 seconds of race winner Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team).
Razgatlioglu was leading by just half a second on the final lap, until Bulega pulled out all the stops, even leaving a black line from his rear wheel as he accelerated onto the start/finish straight to almost overhaul the determined BMW rider.

Razgatlioglu’s win gave him a much-coveted first race win at Motorland, before he heads off to MotoGP in 2026 – even with a rear tyre that looked very second hand as he headed towards Victory Lane.
Sam Lowes (ELF Marc VDS Racing Team Ducati) finished just 0.977 seconds from his first WorldSBK race win, having been a consistently fast shadow for the two lead riders all race long.
Fourth place was secured by Danilo Petrucci (Barni Spark Racing Team Ducati), after the hard-chasing Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) tried just too hard on the exit of T15, and lost the front to crash and retire.
Alex Lowes (bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team) placed fifth, with 2024 Motorland race winner, Andrea Iannone (Team Pata Go Eleven Ducati), overhauling eventual seventh place rider, Andrea Locatelli (Pata Maxus Yamaha), for sixth place.
An astounding ride from pre-race struggler Axel Bassani (bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team), saw him go from absolutely last in the grid (after a punishment for a yellow flag infraction in FP2) to a remarkable eighth place.
Bassani led a three rider group over the line for the 18th and final time that featured Xavi Vierge (Honda HRC), and finally tenth placed Michael van der Mark (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team).
Remy Gardner (GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team) had a DNF while Garrett Gerloff (Kawasaki WorldSBK Team) scored the last point on offer for 15th place.

WorldSSP Race One
Long time WorldSSP rider Valentin Debise (Renzi Corse Ducati) scored what was clearly a popular first win in the WorldSSP category, in his 89th race start. A serial podium finisher in recent times, he took the step forward after 15-laps of the 5.077km long Aragon circuit in Spain. On the slowdown-lap he was mobbed by many of the other top riders as they took turns to congratulate him on his breakthrough win. His first win was his 12th career podium in WorldSSP.

He worked hard for it, from second spot on the grid, and won an almost race-long battle with eventual second place rider Can Öncü (Yamaha bLU cRU Evan Bros Racing) only after holding him off on the super-fast entry to the final corner, and then across the long finish straight.
Stefano Manzi (Ten Kate Racing Yamaha) was third in the first race in which Yamaha R9 runners lost 800rpm off their bikes’ top end performance.
Philipp Öttl (Feel Racing WorldSSP Team Ducati) was fourth on another Panigale V2, with Filippo Farioli (MV Agusta Reparto Corse) fifth, and over eight seconds back from Debise.
Jaume Masia (Orelac Racing VerdNatura Ducati) and another Iberian rider, Xavi Cardelus (Orelac Racing VerdNatura Ducati) finished in sixth and seventh places, respectively, as part of a closely-packed three rider group that had frequent practice faller Lucas Mahias (GMT94-Yamaha) in an eventual eighth position.
Alberto Surra (Yamaha BLU CRU Evan Bros Team) was ninth and third place qualifier Jeremy Alcoba (Kawasaki WorldSSP Team) tenth. One more WorldSSP race to go at Motorland, on Sunday 28th.

WorldSBK Superpole
Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) set a new track best of 1’47.332 on his way to securing the Superpole Qualifying ‘win’ at Round Ten of the WorldSBK championship.
His time survived a late charge from his championshiop rival Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team), as the Turkish rider ended up 0.110 seconds slower after losing his early advantage in the final sector.

Alex Lowes (bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team), who had been only 11th after Friday’s free practice sessions, placed third in Superpole, and a close 0.159 seconds behind Bulega’s new track best.
Sam Lowes (ELF Marc VDS Racing Team Ducati) was fourth, in the top independent machine, with two more Ducatis behind him – ridden by fifth-placed Danilo Petrucci (Barni Spark Racing Team Ducati) and Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati).
The expected Ducati-fest continued with Andrea Iannone (Team Pata Go Eleven Ducati) placing seventh, after ending morning warm-up fastest of all – until the softer tyres were brought out for Superpole. There were no official Qualifying Q tyres available at this round.
Jonathan Rea (Pata Maxus Yamaha) was the top Yamaha rider, eighth overall, with his team-mate Andrea Locatelli ninth quickest. Remy Gardner (GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team) completed the top ten.

Friday WorldSBK
As the 10th round of the WorldSBK got under way under clear skies in Aragon, Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) set the best lap in FP1. Even he would not improve on that mark in FP2, as he finally went 0.351 seconds faster than his championship rival Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati). Bulega was fastest in FP2, but not quicker than Razgatlioglu’s first session time.

Sam Lowes (ELF Marc VDS Racing Team Ducati) had a confidence-boosting third place showing on ay one, with the top Yamaha of Andrea Locatelli (Pata Maxus Yamaha) fourth.
A smiling Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) was fifth, and seemingly happy with his set-up so far.
Putting two BMWs inside the top six places, Michael van der Mark (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) had another good opening day overall.
Danilo Petrucci (Barni Spark Racing Team Ducati) was seventh, 0.745 seconds behind Razgatlioglu, with soon-to-be-ex-Honda rider, Xavi Vierge (Honda HRC) eighth.
Andrea Iannone (Team Pata Go Eleven Ducati) placed ninth and Axel Bassani (bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team) tenth. Alex Lowes (bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team) was 11th after a small fall, while Jonathan Rea (Pata Maxus Yamaha) placed 12th.
Remy Gardner (GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team) was 13th and Garrett Gerloff (Kawasaki WorldSBK Team) 14th, in the combined times from day one.

Friday WorldSSP
Mattia Casadei (Motozoo ME air racing MV Agusta) secured not only his first career WorldSSP pole position but a new track best for WorldSSP, with a 1’52.257 lap.

How much he was helped in his task, by the pre-race reduction of 800rpm from the so-far almost rampant Yamaha R9 machines, is unknown… but the top Yamaha was only fifth in the Aragon Superpole rankings. Make up your own minds about all that… on a circuit with a 1km long back straight.
Second on the grid for Saturday’s first race will be Valentin Debise (Renzi Corse Ducati), with the novelty of Jeremy Alcoba (Kawasaki WorldSSP Team) securing a third place/front row start in his rookie season on the 636 Kawasaki.
Bo Bendsneyder (MV Agusta Reparto Corse) gave the official MV squad a boost in fourth place, with Can Öncü (Yamaha bLU cRU Evan Bros Racing) the best of the Yamaha runners, in fifth. Filippo Farioli (MV Agusta Reparto Corse) was the third MV rider inside the top six places.
Championship leader Stefano Manzi (Ten Kate Racing Yamaha) was seventh on the grid, for a third row start, with the top Ducati – from Jaume Masia (Orelac Racing VerdNatura Ducati) – eighth and Philipp Öttl (Feel Racing WorldSSP Team Ducati) close behind in ninth.
Tom Booth-Amos (PTR Triumph Factory Racing) was the top Triumph qualifier, in tenth, but his probable best pace was unseen after he crashed out.
