Mike Jones Scored the Win Over Chad Pederson and Buddy Antunez
In this week’s Throwback we dial back the wayback machine to November of 1996 and land in Elvis country, Memphis, Tennessee. This photo shows the start of Saturday’s AMA/PJ1 National Arenacross Series 250 class main event inside Shelby Farms Arena and the key players are captured in this image. From left to right are Jeromy Buehl (2), Cliff Palmer (6), Denny Stephenson (48), Buddy Antunez (19), Mike Jones (10) and Chad Pederson (25) all blasting out of the gate. In the race Jones held off numerous challenges by Pederson and Antunez, often timing it to use lapped traffic to his advantage, to earn victory.
