Young won a thrilling race one, battling Dumas to the finish line after completing a bold last-lap pass on Dumas, winning by just eight-hundredths of a second.

“That was probably the most aggressive I’ve ever been, but when you’re that close on the last lap, you have to go for it,” Young said.

Sam Guerin was third.

Guerin ran off with Sunday’s race-two victory in the wet over Jordan Szoke and Dumas.

In the third and final race, Dumas got out in front early and steadily pulled away for the win, with Guerin taking second just ahead of Young.

“This morning was a bit difficult, but it was good to collect some points for the championship knowing we had another chance this afternoon,” Dumas said. “Sam got a good launch, but once I got underneath him in turn two, I just tried to put my head down and get away. It was a fun race, and it feels good to be back on top.”CN
