Toni Bou did what he usually does, and that’s win. This time, he swept the fourth round of the FIM TrialGP Championship in Calvi, France, on the Island of Corsica, May 31-June 1. The Repsol Honda rider rode his factory-backed Montesa Cota 4RT to victory both days, winning both “races” both days.

Bou had to overcome a fall early Saturday, which he said hindered him the rest of the day, but he pulled through for the wins.
“We didn’t throw in the towel and fought until the end, getting the best reward with another victory,” Bou said on Saturday.
After struggling in the first race of the weekend, GasGas rider Jaime Busto was Bou’s closest competitor over the weekend, finishing second in Saturday’s race two and in both races on Sunday.
Sherco’s Jack Peace was second in Saturday’s race one but struggled the rest of the weekend.
“I’m very happy,” Bou said on Sunday. “After yesterday, which went so well, it’s always difficult to start again from scratch. The first lap was incredible, with only three penalty points, and I felt very good on the bike. I also felt comfortable on the second lap, although I made a couple of mistakes, and the victory was a bit difficult for me to get. I’m in very good form at this point of the season, earning many points.”
Bou has a commanding lead in the championship with 322 to Busto’s 267. Bou’s teammate, Gabriel Marcelli, is third with 230 points, 21 points ahead of Beta’s Matteo Grattarola.CN
