Tough news from the Triumph Factory Racing camp as they’ve announced Jordon Smith will miss the Indianapolis Supercross this weekend, round nine of the 2025 Monster Energy AMA Supercross and SuperMotocross World Championship. Smith, the Glendale winner, needs more time to heal from the injuries he sustained during a crash at the Arlington Triple Crown on February 22.

“After his nasty fall from the lead in Arlington, the North Carolina native will unfortunately not line up this weekend to focus on his recovery, with an aim of returning to action in Seattle.” – Triumph Factory Racing

Smith was leading main event one in Texas before the crash and sustained four broken ribs, a punctured lung and small laceration in his spleen. Coming into the night Smith was second in the championship point standings, only two points back from the red plate. He’s effectively missing two rounds and is all but ruled out of this year’s title fight.

Indianapolis’ round nine inside Lucas Oil Stadium marks the first 250SX East/West Showdown of 2025. Austin Forkner will serve as the lone rider under the Triumph Factory Racing tent, as Stilez Robertson (wrist), Jalek Swoll (achilles), and now Jordon Smith (ribs) are all sidelined with injuries.
