Here is the complete press release from Best In The Desert…

After careful consideration, Best In The Desert has made the difficult decision to remove the 2025 Nevada 1000 Invitational from this year’s schedule. In its place, we are proud to announce the return of the 2025 Silver State 300.

The decision stems from the current economic climate, which makes hosting a three-day race—along with its associated costs—challenging for both organizers and competitors.

“This was not an easy call,” said Bryan Folks, owner of Best In The Desert. “We put a lot of effort into developing the Nevada 1000 because we believe it has the potential to become one of the premier off-road races in the United States. However, the timing just isn’t right. The last thing off-road racing needs is an event that doesn’t draw enough participation to justify the investment. Instead, we are returning to a proven favorite—the Silver State 300.”

The Silver State 300 is already well-positioned for success, as much of its course overlaps with Day 1 of the planned Nevada 1000, making Bureau of Land Management (BLM) approvals seamless.

“I want to extend my gratitude to Powersport Pros for their support in making this transition possible,” added Folks. “Not only have they stepped up as the title sponsor for this year’s Silver State 300, but they have also agreed to transfer the $50,000 guaranteed purse from the Nevada 1000 to this race.”

The only key adjustment with this transition is the event date change—the 2025 Powersport Pros Silver State 300 will now take place May 8-10, 2025.

This year’s 330-mile course will feature six pit stops and a start and finish line less than 20 miles apart, allowing for a streamlined and exciting race experience. Competitors can expect the stunning terrain that makes this race a fan favorite, with a slightly faster, more up-tempo course compared to 2024.

Best In The Desert looks forward to another thrilling edition of the Silver State 300 and appreciates the continued support of our racers, teams, sponsors, and fans.
