Former Arenacross Champion Josh Demuth has reportedly passed away April 6. Cause of death has not yet been made public.

Former Arenacross Champion Josh Demuth passed away in his home state of Texas. Although the Texan had some success in National Motocross and Supercross, Demuth was known for his Arenacross skills, winning five Arenacross Championships throughout his career. He turned pro in 1995 and retired from professional racing in 2012. Just a few months after retiring, however, Demuth, aka “The Sheriff,” suffered a serious injury while riding with friends that ultimately required amputation of his lower right leg.
