Triumph has just unveiled its brand new Rocket III and Rocket III GT machines, signaling the first time we’ve seen a complete model overhaul since the Rocket was first released in 2004.
The new Rocket models, powered by a 2458cc inline triple, will have the most torque of any production machine yet released, with Triumph quoting a stunning 163 lb-ft at 4000 rpm, and 165 hp at 6000 rpm—an 11 percent jump from the previous model—with weight down a claimed 88 lb to a claimed 642 lb for the Rocket III and 648 lb for the GT.
Styling has been completely revised, including twin LED headlights, Triumph maker’s mark triangle branding, and the sculpted three-header exhaust run.
The hardware for both machines is top spec, with Brembo gracing the Rocket III and Rocket III GT with their new Stylema calipers (the same as found on the Aprilia RSV4 1100 Factory), Showa suspension, and 20 spoke aluminum wheels, with the rear in the signature 240mm size. The GT model gets up-spec exposed machining on rim and spokes. Both models are also fitted with Avon Cobra Chrome tires, developed especially for the new Rocket 3.

Electronics come in the form of a second-generation TFT instrument panel with illuminated switch cubes, Cornering ABS & Traction Control, four riding modes (Road, Rain, Sport and Rider-configurable) Hill-Hold control, cruise control, keyless ignition, USB charging, and heated grips as standard on the GT (heated grips are accessory fit on the R).
Triumph is also including a range of over 50 accessories for the base model Rocket and the GT, including saddlebags, tank bags, tail packs, roadster and touring handlebars, different seats, tire pressure monitoring system, turn-by-turn navigation, an up and down quickshifter in Triumph’s Shift Assist system, and the world’s first integrated GoPro control system enables GoPro camera operation, which is an accessory fitted Bluetooth connectivity module. The connection and control is displayed on the TFT instruments, enabling intuitive video and photo operation via the switchgear.
