Winner Skip Van Leeuwen was pictured on the cover, as were Mert Lawwell, Sonny Burres and Dan HaabySteve Staats ignored the 100-degree temperatures and ran off with the win at the Jack Rabbits European Scrambles in the California desert… Sammy Tanner topped Class-A speedway action at Whiteman Stadium in Pacoima… Eleven-year-old Earl Roloff Jr. topped the 100cc Novice main during scrambles racing at Fremont Raceway in California.
