Dreams Come True at Road Atlanta
Press Release | April 27, 2018
Alec Ingram’s Wish Comes True
This is a press release from MotoAmerica…
This season’s kickoff event at Road Atlanta held more than just a few victories on the racetrack. It was also an opportunity for one MotoAmerica rider to share his victory with a 12-year-old kid who really needed one.
Alec Ingram was first diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer when he was just nine years old, in 2015. Since then he and his family have endured months of chemotherapy treatments, numerous surgeries, and weekly hospital stays.
When rider Travis Wyman first learned about Alec, an avid motorsports fan, the answer was simple: He’d fly Alec and his family out for front row seats at the event. Alec and his family watched Saturday as Wyman posted the second-fastest time in the class’ only practice session, and when he claimed the provisional pole during a dry afternoon qualifying session. Wyman even made Alec a member of the Weir Everywhere Racing team for the weekend.
You can learn more about Alec’s story on his Facebook page.
