Boise, ID (January 15, 2017) – Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Jason Anderson has delivered Rekluse its first-ever 450 Supercross Main Event win. After laying down the top qualifying time, Anderson got the holeshot in his heat race and never looked back, taking the checkered flag. He started 5th in the Main and charged ahead, taking the lead through the rhythm section with just over five minutes left. The win gave Anderson the season points lead.
Aaron Plessinger earned himself the win aboard his Monster Energy/Yamalube/Star Racing Yamaha. He qualified 3rd, following that up with another 3rd place finish in his heat race. When the gate dropped on the Main, Plessinger found himself mid-pack. He rode clean and smart, turning in consistent laps and made an impressive push to the front. Plessinger is now the season points leader going into Anaheim 2.
Rekluse’s President, Sean Brown, said “Getting to the top of the box in US Supercross has been a long-standing goal at Rekluse. Our team has charged after this goal, working tirelessly since the company was founded. We have enjoyed a lot of racing success over the years, including two 250 championships with Star Racing Yamaha. To have Jason Anderson secure our first 450 SX win is a big moment for us. We couldn’t ask for a better weekend, with Aaron Plessinger rounding out the double win in the 250 class. Having these riders showcase our clutch technology at this high level is extremely gratifying and humbling. They both rode well, showcasing their talents and drive to win. We look forward to continuing our partnership with these top programs, and to the racing that remains this season.”
