(March 16, 2017) –  The 2017 AMA KENDA/SRT National Hare & Hound series heads north to Murphy, Idaho next weekend for the 42nd annual Rabbit Creek 100! Hosted by Dirt Inc..

“We have teamed up with Dirt Inc. for many years now, and they continually host an event that is not to miss! We are really looking forward to seeing the Idaho locals jump into the mix as the chase for the 2017 NHHA Championship continues,” stated NHHA Director, Jacob Michna.

Changing it up from a fast and sandy round two in Alamogordo, New Mexico- the series ventures to the Owyhee Desert for some pretty spectacular trails, rocks and water crossings. After a very wet season in the region, those water crossings will be substantial, and damp dirt throughout the 110-mile course will make for a prime day on two-wheels. So come prepared!

Friday kicks off race weekend with sign-ups from 5pm-8pm (and again from Saturday 7am-10am/5pm-8pm, and Sunday from 7am-10am). The main feature on Saturday is the AMA KENDA/SRT National Hare & Hound Youth Series, which begins at 11am with a Rider’s Meeting on the start line at 10:45am. Please note: there are two races on Saturday for the Youth, (see flyer at bottom).

Club Notes:

  • There is NO play riding- a jetting loop is available
  • There are two alternates (loop one, and loop two), there will be a gas truck available and they are accessible by pit crew in vehicles.
  • The road that you will turn onto, coming off of HWY 78, will be Old Hwy 45. Sometimes it is listed as Ridge Road. Please do not take Silver City Road. Just follow all the signs!
  • This year will be a three-wave start:
    1st – Pro/A/B
    2nd – C (NOT Women’s C)
    3rd – Womens C/Masters/Sportsman (all 1 loopers)
  • Please keep in mind that once the first C rider goes out on loop 2 we will set the clock for 1 hour. Once that hour is up, the race is over. No one will be allowed to start loop 2.
  • Pits are remote this year. There will be no camping on pit row. You can only walk to the pits but its not far. We are trying to make it so people can leave after the race if they like since pit row has to be closed to all vehicles. This makes it much safer for all the riders and crews. We will have a few shuttle trucks to help you haul all of your popups/gas cans.
