BIRMINGHAM, AL (June 14, 2015) – Joe Roberts racked up another victory in Bazzaz Superstock 600 Race 2 at Barber Motorsports Park Sunday. After an early battle with Bryce Prince, Roberts cleared out and won by 6.505 seconds. It marked his sixth win of the season and extended his series lead to 20 points over Rich Escalante, who finished third.

Roberts and Prince battled early with Prince actually being one of the few riders to pass Roberts this season. A crash by Wyatt Farris in the chasing group opened a huge gap between the leading duo and the rest of the field with Travis Wyman heading up the next group.

By the mid-stages Roberts had gotten back and front and opened up a half-second gap on Prince. Wyman, Richie Escalante and Jason Aguilar were in a good battle for the final podium position about 11 seconds behind the leaders.

In the second half of the race Roberts fired the boost rockets and pulled clear of Prince. Prince was a lonely second, while Escalante cleared that third place battle and began to try to chip away at Prince’s lead. He was unable to do so and finished third.

Jason Aguilar and Travis Wyman rounded out the top five.
