Arlington, Texas (February 14, 2015) – Marvin Musquin posted the fastest lap in practice today to claim the top qualifying spot for tonight’s opening round of the East Regional 250 SX class at the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series in AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Musquin posted a time of 51.080 on his Red Bull KTM to beat out Swiss Kawasaki rider Arnaud Tonus by nearly half a second to take the top spot.
Reigning 250 outdoor champ Jeremy Martin was third fastest with a 51.948 on his Yamalube Star Racing Yamaha, while Rockstar Energy Factory Husqvarna Racing’s Martin Davalos edged out Kawasaki’s Matt Lemoine by just over a 10th of a second four the fourth overall qualifying spot.
Defending 250 East champ Justin Bogle headed the second half of the top 10 on his GEICO Honda, finishing ahead of Joey Savatgy (Kaw), Vince Friese (Hon), Mitch Oldenburg (Yam), Kyle Peters (Hon) and RJ Hampshire (Hon). Vicki Golden, who was attempting to become the first woman to qualify for a supercross, struggled with the difficult Arlington course, and didn’t make the cut, finishing 54th fastest. Only the top 40 make it into the night program.
