Shoei has a new dual-sport helmet out, the Hornet X2. It was designed to have the optimal balance of on- and off-road for the serious dual-sport enthusiast.

The mouthpiece and chinbar were designed to improve air intake and ventilation performance to accommodate heavy breathing during demanding off-road riding: Instead of a traditional mouthpiece of an off-road helmet, the Hornet X2 has a multi-stage vent shutter to allow the rider to fine-tune airflow.

The Hornet X2 is equipped with removable ear pads. The chin curtain can be inserted into the lower edge of the chinbar to reduce wind turbulence and noise.
