Originally it was announced that they would try right up to the end of daylight (around 9 p.m.) to try to get some racing in, but while the rain would stop for 10 or 15 minutes, it would start again just as the track was being prepped.

Even when it wasn’t raining in the pits, corner worker were at times reporting rain in some of the far turns of the circuit.

Practice is slated to start at 8 a.m. Sunday morning. No word yet if there will be an effort to run doubleheaders races.
