Mt. Morris, PA (June 14, 2014) – Blake Baggett continues to gather steam in the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship, grabbing his second 250-class overall victory in a row at today’s round at High Point Raceway in Mt. Morris, Pennsylvania.

The Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider claimed his first overall victory of the season last weekend at Lakewood, Colorado with 4-1 moto finishes. This week, the former 250 class champ got the job done with a perfect 1-1 score, beating Yamalube/Star Racing Yamaha’s Jeremy Martin to the line in moto one and Rockstar Racing’s Jason Anderson in moto two.

GEICO Honda’s Justin Bogle held the lead during the early going in the first moto, but was passed by Baggett on lap six of the 17-lap race.

Martin passed Bogle, as well, doing so on lap eight to move into second. On the next to last lap of the race, Martin’s teammate, Cooper Webb, also passed Bogle, putting the Yamaha rider into third.

At the finish it was Baggett with the win, Martin in second, Webb in third and Bogle in fourth.

Red Bull KTM’s Marvin Musquin was fifth, ahead of Valli Yamaha’s Christophe Pourcel, who ran as high as second at the start of the race.

Pourcel blasted into the lead at the start of moto two, and led until Baggett went by on lap six.

Pourcel would hold the runner-up slot for six more laps, before Anderson was able to find a way around and into second.

Out front, Baggett continued to pull away and was a full 16 seconds ahead of Anderson when he took the checkers.

Pourcel crossed the line in third, nearly four seconds behind Anderson, with Bogle taking fourth and Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Justin Hill in fifth.

Martin hit the gate with his front wheel and suffered a bad start, but managed to salvage a sixth for the moto and second overall.

With four rounds in the books, Martin still holds a solid lead in the series standings with 177 points, while his teammate Webb sits second with 148.

With his win, Baggett moved into third in the championship with a total of 141 points, while Pourcel and Bogle are fourth and fifth in the standings with 128 and 126 points, respectively.
