Rapp Takes Barber XR1200 Race

Steve Rapp scored his second straight AMA Pro Vance & Hines Harley-DavidsonXR1200 victory of the season Sunday at Barber Motosports Park. Rapp moved up to pass early leaders Tyler O’Hara and Michael Barnes to take the win by 5.4 seconds over Barnes.

O’Hara took third in a tight race with Benjamin Carlson. Travis Wyman rounded out the top five.

“I do like this track it reminds me of my home track at Infineon (Sears Point),” Rapp said. “I started the season with nothing going on and Joe from Suburban Harley-Davidson called me and this has been an unexpected bonus for sure.”

Rapp moved to within a point of Barnes in the standing, which will be reset for the championship chase later this season.
