The 2013 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship schedule was released today and the big news is two new venues are planned, one in Tennessee and the other, though not yet officially announced, in Indiana.
The series kicks off as it usually does in Sacramento, California, at the Hangtown Motocross Classic, May 18, followed by the Lakewood, Colorado, round May 25, and then the new Bristol National, held at Muddy Creek Raceway in Blountville, Tennessee, June 1. The Muddy Creek venue will take the place of the Firestone County Raceway round in Wortham, Texas.
After Muddy Creek, the championship returns to High Point, Budds Creek, Moto X 338 (Southwick), RedBud, Washougal, Spring Creek and Unadilla.
There is one TBA round on the schedule for August 17, and word has it that it will take place in Crawfordsville, Indiana, the same site as the Ironman GNCC, where it was announced over the p.a. earlier in the year that a National MX would be coming there in 2013. This new venue is expected to replace the Steel City National in Delmont, Pennsylvania.
A week later, the series concludes (a little earlier than usual, too) at Lake Elsinore in California, August 24.
