Nicky Hayden has just reported on his Twitter account that his right wrist is broken in two places, knocking the Marlboro Ducati rider out of the all-important two-day test of the new Ducati 1000 at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia, Spain. Hayden was knocked down in turn one of Sunday’s MotoGP in a four-rider crash with initial X-rays showing there were no broken bones.
“Think my test is probably over. Just got back from hospital and wrist is broken in 2 spots,” Hayden Tweeted this morning from Spain. Thus far, Casey Stoner is leading the way at the test with a 1:32.654 ahead of Dani Pedrosa, Ben Spies, Valentino Rossi, Andrea Dovizisio (riding the 800cc Yamaha in a shakedown before going to the new 1000), Hector Barbera, Randy de Puniet and Cal Crutchlow.
