As of today, it has been confirmed that Ryan Villopoto will, indeed, contest the U.S. Open in Las Vegas. Joining him in green will be Josh Hansen. “Lil’ Hanny” has landed another one-race deal with the venerable Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki team. Hansen will ride out of Payton’s Pro Circuit rig, as he did at the Summer X Games a few months ago, and will race the U.S. Open on a KX450F.
