DiSalvo on Pole in Topeka

M4 Suzuki’s Jason DiSalvo took the Daytona SportBike pole position for this weekend’s Tornado Nationals at Heartland Park Topeka.The New Yorker lapped the 2.5-mile, 14-turn road course in a time of 1:38.924 mins. to take his fifth Superpole of the year. Bad weather washed out Superpole at Mid-Ohio and Superpole was replaced by a traditional qualifying session at Laguna Seca.DiSalvo had qualified third fastest in the afternoon, but neither his teammate Martin Cardenas, nor Factory Aprilia Millennium Technologies Chaz Davies were able to stay in front of him.Instead it was Team Graves Motorsports Yamaha’s Josh Herrin, the sixth fastest qualifier, improving four spots to set the second fastest time. Cardenas slipped from first in qualifying to third in Superpole, with Tommy Aquino filling out the second row on the second Graves Yamaha.Erion Honda’s Jake Zemke is on the row three pole in front of Davies, with Chris Fillmore (Yam) seventh and Bobby Fong (Yam) eighth.
