Jean-Sebastien Roy clinched the 250cc Canadian National Motocross Championship with his sixth overall win of the season this past weekend in Deschambault, QS, Canada. The Honda Canada/Blackfoot Racing team rider went 1-2 on the day, which was more than enough to ensure him his fourth title with one round left in the series.
Second overall went to 125cc West Champion Dusty Klatt, Roy’s teammate. Klatt went 3-1, edging out BMR/Yamaha Canada rider Blair Morgan.
Fourth overall with a pair of fifth-place finishes went to Canadian Mitchell Cooke, while fifth overall went to Suzuki rider Craig Decker.
Both Damon Huffman and John Dowd suffered mechanical DNFs in the first moto.
American Donnie McGourty, Kawasaki, took the 125cc East-class win with 2-1 moto results. It was his second win in a row. McGourty leads the 125cc East Series over Canadian Doug De Haan, 131-118.
