Team Honda’s Johnny Campbell and Steve Hengeveld led from start to finish at the Best in the Desert’s Terrible’s Town 250 this past weekend, but it wasn’t good enough to win. Instead, that honor went to the Montclair Yamaha/Zip-Ty Racing duo of Ty Davis and Russell Pearson, aboard their YZ450F.

The Yamaha team started a minute behind the Honda team but finished within that minute at the end of the race to win on adjusted time. Campbell and Hengeveld, on the XR650, did take runner-up honors.

Quinn Cody and Kendall Norman were third overall and third Open Pro on their XR650R, while Chris Blais, who soloed, was fourth overall and first Four-stroke Pro on his XR650R. Fifth overall went to 250cc Pro winners Clint Braun and Matt Gosnell on their KTM.

Kariya spends way too much time in the desert, but we’re glad he does as he’s the man who gets us our coverage of all things sandy.
