Warhorse HSBK Racing Ducati will enter the 2027 MotoAmerica Superbike Championship with a new rider pairing, retaining Cameron Beaubier while promoting reigning Supersport champion Darryn Binder to its factory-backed Panigale V4 R program.
A six-time MotoAmerica Superbike champion and 2025 title winner, Beaubier faced a difficult 2026 season after moving from Tytler’s Cycle BMW machinery to Ducati’s heavily revised 2026 Panigale V4 R. His championship campaign was derailed by a crash at Road America in Round Four that left him with significant shoulder injuries.
Beaubier made a spectacular return at the penultimate round at Circuit of The Americas, taking pole position before claiming his first victory of the season and his first for Ducati. He added another pole at the New Jersey Motorsports Park finale, underlining the potential of both rider and machine heading into 2027.
“The 2026 season didn’t go the way I hoped due to the injury, but I’m happy I was able to finish out the year with a win, a podium, and more seat time on the Ducati,” Beaubier said. “It’s been great to be a part of the Warhorse team, and I’m really looking forward to coming back for some redemption with them in 2027.”
Binder emerged as one of MotoAmerica’s standout performers in 2026 after making the move from the MotoGP paddock to the Celtic/Economy Lube + Tire/Warhorse Ducati Supersport team. The South African made his debut after 11 seasons in the world championship paddock and immediately established himself as a force, scoring 11 victories and 14 podiums.
Binder secured the 2026 Supersport title with a double victory at COTA and will now make the step to Superbike, gaining his first experience of the Panigale V4 R.
“I just want to say a huge thank you to Warhorse for giving me the opportunity to step up onto the Panigale V4 R. I’m really looking forward to it. We had a great first season this year together in Supersport and managed to win the championship,” said Darryn Binder. “There’s been a fantastic vibe in the box this year, both with the supersport and superbike teams. Getting to know everybody has made me even more excited for this opportunity. I’ve never raced a superbike before, so it’ll be new to me, but I’m excited for the challenge and looking forward to seeing what the team can do.”
Warhorse HSBK Racing Ducati Team Principal Bobby Shek believes the combination gives the team a strong platform as it seeks its second MotoAmerica Superbike Championship, following Josh Herrin’s 2023 title.
“We’re very happy to announce Cameron and Darryn as our riders for 2027,” said Shek. “Cameron has proven time and again what he is capable of in Superbike—seeing him return from injury and win at COTA this year showed the level of determination and ability he brings to our program.
“Darryn has had an incredible first season in MotoAmerica, winning the Supersport championship and demonstrating that he has the speed, skills, and consistency to succeed.
“Bringing these two riders together gives us a strong foundation for our 2027 Superbike program, and we’re looking forward to getting to work.”
