Shoei’s new RF-SR2 full-face street helmet has a multi-ply Matrix AIM+ shell with a newly shaped, wind-tunnel-developed rear spoiler for an 82 percent improvement in aerodynamic performance compared with the RF-SR. The lower intake now includes a half-open position, and both the lower and upper air intakes have been redesigned for increased airflow and easier operation while wearing gloves. Its removable, washable 3D comfort liner is compatible with Shoei’s Personal Fitting System.
The helmet includes emergency quick-release cheekpads, and the CWR-1 shield includes a Pinlock EVO lens insert. The Shoei RF-SR2 comes in solid colors for $499.99, with no price increase from the RF-SR.

Calabasas, CA (July 30, 2026) — Helmet House, the exclusive U.S. distributor of Shoei helmets, today announced the new Shoei RF-SR2, the next generation of the RF-SR full-face street helmet. The RF-SR2 builds on the model’s proven balance of premium Shoei craftsmanship, everyday comfort, and approachable value with meaningful updates to ventilation, aerodynamics, fit and safety.
Developed for riders who want a versatile full-face helmet for commuting, weekend rides and longer days on the road, the RF-SR2 introduces a cleaner, more integrated shell design while retaining the practical character that made the RF-SR a popular entry point into the Shoei lineup.
Both the lower and upper air intakes have been redesigned for increased airflow and easier operation while wearing gloves. The lower intake now includes a half-open position, giving riders finer control over ventilation as temperatures and riding conditions change. The lower air intake delivers 43% more airflow, while the upper air intake delivers 21% more airflow compared with the RF-SR.
At the rear, a newly shaped spoiler was refined through repeated wind-tunnel testing. Developed through extensive testing in Shoei’s large-scale wind tunnel, the redesigned rear spoiler delivers an 82% improvement in aerodynamic performance compared with the RF-SR.

The RF-SR2 uses Shoei’s Multi-Ply Matrix AIM+ shell construction and a dual-layer, multi-density EPS liner. Its removable, washable 3D interior is shaped for a secure, comfortable fit and is compatible with Shoei’s Personal Fitting System for riders seeking a more individualized fit through participating authorized dealers.
The Emergency Quick Release System allows emergency personnel to remove the cheek pads more easily when necessary. The RF-SR2 is Snell M2025D certified and engineered to meet or exceed DOT FMVSS No. 218 requirements.
