Justin Barcia is set to miss this weekend’s round of the Pro Motocross Championship, round four at High Point Raceway. The Troy Lee Designs Red Bull Ducati Factory Racing rider “dabbed his leg in a corner, which ultimately compressed his back” last weekend during qualifying at Thunder Valley and opted not to race the second moto. With the back compression, he and the team have decided to sit out round four in hopes of a full recovery. The team will continue the series with Dylan Ferrandis.

“Justin is one of the toughest riders in the paddock and gave everything he had in that first moto in Thunder Valley,” said Josh Wisenor, Team Manager. “Right now, the priority is allowing him the time to recover properly, and we all look forward to having him back behind the gate.”

It’s been a tough go in 2026 for Barcia who we believe is on a one-year deal with Ducati. A scary crash at the opening round of Monster Energy Supercross took him out for nearly the entire season. He returned for the final three rounds where he scored a season-best eighth in Denver. In Pro Motocross, the #51 currently sits 15th overall with a best finish of 10th coming at round two with 10-10 moto scores. His teammate, Dylan Ferrandis, is currently fifth in the 450MX points.
