Potomac Speedway, located on the same grounds as the famed Budds Creek Motocross Park, welcomed the first of two Mission Foods/Cory Texter Promotions Showcase events in the Northeastern United States in 2026. Continued dominance at the youth level and a collection of first-time Showcase winners highlighted the day’s racing.

For the first time in 2026, the 450 Amateur, Open Amateur and Road to AFT classes did not see a rider collect multiple victories. In 450 Amateur action, Wyland Seger piloted his Yamaha to a maiden Showcase victory, fending off pressure from Canadian racer Mateo Racine. Adam “Budman” Costan-Wood turned Budds Creek into Budman’s Creek with a late-race pass on Brody Hanson, bringing his Turner Racing Honda home first in Open Amateur action. Closing out the day, Racine got the holeshot in the Road to AFT main event ahead of Dillon Durelle and Costan-Wood. Racine was unable to break away from his challengers, but he never gave them an opening to make a pass, becoming the first Canadian to score a Showcase victory in 2026. While the main events may not have gone Bayne Nantz’s way, the Colorado rider piloted his KTM to victory in the day’s Mission Challenge Dash for Cash.

For the first time in 2026, no rider scored multiple victories across the 450cc Amateur, Open Amateur and Road to AFT main events.

Cruise Texter ordered up a three-piece combo with a side of cash, once again winning the 50cc Chain, 65cc and Mini Open main events. Texter added another G&G Racing 65cc Dash victory to his resume. After missing the California Showcase events, Jayden Nickens returned to the top of the 85cc class and the Youth Premier class. Nickens remained perfect in Showcase competition in 2026 and also found success in the G&G Racing 85cc Dash at Potomac. Hayden Hathaway joined Nickens and Texter as a multi-race winner by sweeping the Vintage Light and Vintage Open main events.

Jada Parker continued her winning ways in the Women’s class, securing a third victory in the last four Showcase events. Another Parker nearly grabbed a late-race victory in Open Novice competition, but JJ Parker fell just 0.111 of a second behind Adam Winegard at the checkered flag.

Additional riders who picked up their first Showcase victory of the season and rounded out the list of main event winners on the day were Wade Lockamy in the 250cc Amateur class and Griffin Pollack in the 50cc Air-Cooled class.
