Last week, Yamaha officially announced the departure of Eli Tomac from the Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha Team after four seasons, saying, “Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing extends its sincere thanks to Eli Tomac for the remarkable success achieved together over the past four seasons (2022–2025) in the SuperMotocross World Championship and wishes Eli all the best in his future endeavors.”

While with Yamaha, Tomac took the 2022 Monster Energy AMA Supercross 450SX and Pro Motocross 450MX titles and led Team USA to victory at the Motocross of Nations in 2022. The Colorado native achieved 16 main-event wins in 450SX and 16 moto wins in 450MX, including two Daytona Supercross wins, during his time with the team.
On Tuesday, November 4, it’s expected that Tomac will be announced as one of KTM’s newest 450-class members, alongside Jorge Prado and returning KTM rider Aaron Plessinger. CN
