Scotty Parker and Dan Ingram Joined Carr on the Box at Sacto
In this week’s Throwback we dialed in the Wayback Machine to April of 1990 and arrive at the Cal-Expo and the famous Sacramento Mile. On the podium that night was winner Chris Carr (center) joined by fellow Harley-Davidson factory rider Scotty Parker (right), who was runner up and Dan Ingram (left) who finished third on a Honda. It was a big win for Carr, his first on a Mile in three years. It also ended Parker’s amazing 10-race Grand National Mile winning streak that dated back to 1988!
Carr held the points lead after his Sacramento victory, but it was Parker who would ultimately come back that season to win his third consecutive AMA Grand National title.
