Jago Geerts has found a new home with the Beta MRT team for the next two seasons in the MXGP championship.

“I am very happy to have signed with Beta for the next two seasons,” Geerts said. “It is a big change for me after eight years in Yamaha. I felt I needed a change to improve further, and I think that with the new team, this can be possible for me. I have already done some testing with the RX 450 and it has gone really well. I feel comfortable on the bike and I am ready to start winter preparation. The mood in the team is amazing and I believe that together we can achieve great results in the coming years, so I am looking forward to starting this run!”

The switch to Beta marks the first time Geerts has ridden for any brand other than Yamaha as a professional.

Geerts finished second in the MX2 World Championship for four consecutive years (2020-2023), racking up 24 GP victories and 55 podium positions along the way. In 2025, he completed his first full season in MXGP finishing 12th overall.
