FMF KTM Factory Racing’s Grant Davis delivered a flawless performance, riding his way to the overall victory and also winning the XC2 250 Pro class. Davis started strong and kept his lead throughout. He now leads the overall standings by 20 points and the XC2 standings by 50 points. Flatrock Motorclub GasGas Factory Racing’s Jordan Ashburn finished second overall while securing the XC1 Open Pro class win.
“I’m pumped,” winner Davis said. “I got a good start and managed not to go down in turn three this time, like I did at the last race. Then Jordan [Ashburn] was trying to make a quick move on me, and I thought, ‘I can’t let this happen today.’ I put down some fast laps and created a gap, then maintained that margin for the rest of the day.”
Coming through to earn third overall on the day was Rocky Mountain Red Bear Kawasaki Team Green’s Nicholas DeFeo. After a solid start to the race, DeFeo found himself at the front of the pack, running second in class and third overall for most of the race. DeFeo kept his position throughout the six-lap race.

FMF KTM Factory Racing’s Benjamin Kelley didn’t get the start he wanted and had to make a late push to take second in the XC1 Open Pro class and fourth overall for the day, securing the XC1 Open Pro-class National Championship (based on overall points) while also staying in the hunt for the Overall National Championship, where he now trails by 20 points with two rounds left.

“We knew that the start would be super-important at this round, and I got a decent one, although I had a pretty big crash there about halfway through,” Kelley said. “I tried to charge back toward the front as best I could, but it was a really hard track to pass on because of the conditions. I’m proud to win the XC1 Open Pro Class Championship, though, especially with how far I have come from being injured the last couple of years.”
Liqui Moly Factory Beta Racing’s Josh Strang earned a hard-fought third-place finish in the XC1 class and fifth overall.

In the XC2 250 Pro class, Rocket Racing/Bonecutter Off-Road’s Brody Johnson battled through to earn third in class and sixth overall on the day.
AmPro Yamaha’s Kailub Russell as he came through to finish fourth in XC1 Open Pro and seventh overall. Russell found himself midpack but continued to push himself forward.
In the eighth overall position was Phoenix Racing Honda’s Michael Witkowski after earning the $250 Landers KTM XC1 Pro Holeshot Award.
Rockstar Energy Factory Husqvarna Racing’s Craig DeLong was ninth overall and sixth XC1. Bi-Con Services/JDP/Moose Off-Road’s Ryder Lafferty rounded out the top 10 overall finishers on the day at The Mountaineer GNCC.
After grabbing the $100 Lojak Cycle Sales XC3 Holeshot Award, Bonecutter Off-Road/GasGas-backed racer Jonathan Johnson pushed forward for the duration of the race. Johnson took the XC3 125 Pro-Am class win, but Marionville Powersports/Hinson/Fly Racing’s James Jenkins took second while clinching the 2025 GNCC XC3 125 Pro-Am National Championship. Beta Off-Road/Estes Motorsports/Wossner Piston’s Raley Messer continued to push and rounded out the top three XC3 class finishers in West Virginia.

Top Amateur was Cooper Jones, who earned 14th overall and a win in the 250 A class.
The WXC battle at round 11 was nothing short of electrifying, as Rocky Mountain Red Bear Kawasaki Team Green’s Rachael Archer grabbed the $100 Landers KTM WXC Holeshot Award to start the day. As the race continued, FMF KTM Factory Racing Landers’ Brandy Richards made the pass around Archer. Richards held onto the lead position, earning her first win in her second race back after a leg injury. Archer took second in class.

“I didn’t have the greatest start, so I was about fourth or fifth while the other girls were ready to go from the beginning,” Richards said. “I started off slow, then made my way to third, and then had what was a gnarly get-off. After I got up from that, I had to regroup. Halfway through the second lap, I started to get a good flow going and began to see that the times were coming down to the front-runners, so I did my best in the dust and slowly gained on them. I made a pass and then knew it was hard to pass in the dust, so I just stayed up and managed to win.
AmPro Yamaha’s Danielle McDonald and Rockstar Energy Factory Husqvarna Racing’s Korie Steede went head-to-head, trading positions multiple times throughout the race. McDonald was able to make a last-lap pass on Steede to take the third-place position in WXC, while Steede crossed the line fourth. Rounding out the top five in WXC was Enduro Engineering-backed racer Shelby Turner.
In the overall GNCC standings, Davis leads with 247 points, followed by Kelley with 227 and third-place Angus Riordan, who struggled in the dust and finished 15th, with 166 points, just five points ahead of Cody Barnes, who was 12th on the day. CN
