Kyle Ryde (Yamaha) delivered a perfect weekend at Donington Park, securing his first career treble in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship and extending his title lead to 28 points heading into the showdown at Assen. The defending champion’s three wins came as rival Bradley Ray (Yamaha) endured a difficult round, salvaging only a third-place finish in the final race.

Scott Redding (Ducati) opened the weekend with victory on Saturday, but Ryde struck back in Sunday’s opener, fending off a late attack from the Hager PBM Ducati rider to take the win. Rory Skinner’s (Ducati) third place added to his growing podium tally.
In race three, Ryde again outlasted Redding and Ray in a fierce contest that included a safety-car intervention after incidents involving Andrew Irwin (Honda) and Danny Kent (Yamaha). Ryde reclaimed the lead and resisted late pressure as Ray finished second.
The finale saw Ryde recover from an early scare to hunt down Skinner, seizing the lead on the penultimate lap at Starkeys to complete his weekend of wins. Skinner took second, moving to third in the standings, while Redding snatched third at the flag to climb back into the top 10 overall.
The points have Ryde on 354 to Ray’s 326 and Skinner third on 235. CN
