WorldSBK Race Two

Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) won for the third time over the Misano weekend after setting off at an early Race Two pace that could not be matched.

Razgatlioglu was fully 4.47 seconds ahead of the rest after just six laps, but by that stage Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) was already in second position from his tenth place grid slot.

Razgatlioglu was still lapping faster than anyone in the 32°C air temperatures as the race went on, pushing his pace all the while.

2025 Misano WorldSBK ResultsWorldSBK heads to Misano with everyone chasing Nicolo Bulega.
Razgatlioglu decimated the field in race two to take three from three wins on Ducati’s home turf.

He won from Bulega by nearly ten seconds, even after making his trademark rolling stoppie across the finish line.

Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) was third, after a fight through his rivals, but still 14.4 seconds from the runaway Toprak.

Andrea Locatelli (Pata Maxus Yamaha) was fourth, eventually riding on his own.

Danilo Petrucci (Barni Spark Racing Team Ducati) led a close three rider bunch across the line, with Iker Lecuona (Honda HRC) and Sam Lowes (ELF Marc VDS Racing Team Ducati) his closest challengers.

A season-best ride from Garrett Gerloff (Kawasaki WorldSBK Team) – albeit 33 seconds from Razgatlioglu – saw him eighth, with Xavi Vierge (Honda HRC) ninth and Michael van der Mark (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) tenth.

Alex Lowes (bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team) crashed out, as did Jonathan Rea (Pata Maxus Yamaha), Andrea Iannone (Team Pata GoEleven Ducati), Remy Gardner (GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team) and Yari Montella (Barni Spark Racing Team Ducati).

Top bimota rider was Axel Bassani (bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team), 12th and in the points despite his double long lap penalty for his Superpole Race collision with Bulega.

In the championship standings, Bulega leaves what should have been a strong round for him with a lead over Razgatlioglu of only nine points – 292 – 283. Petrucci is third on 179 and Bautista fourth with 172.

WorldSSP Race Two

Maybe the official track temperature of over 46°C didn’t help, but many top riders, and some others, went down like ninepins in what was a shortened 13-lap WoldSSP Race Two.

Can Öncü (Yamaha bLU cRU Evan Bros Racing) won the race after long-time leader Stefano Manzi (Ten Kate Racing Yamaha) fell just in front of him, but it was the big highside of Kaito Toba (PETRONAS MIE Honda Racing Team) that ended things with a red flag stoppage as he lay trackside.

Öncü crossed the line 0.316 seconds ahead of second place rider Jaume Masia (Orelac Racing VerdNatura Ducati), with Valentin Debise (Renzi Corse Ducati) taking the final podium spot. Philipp Öttl (Feel Racing WorldSSP Team Ducati) was just 0.3 seconds from a podium at his team’s home round, but he had to settle for fourth place. This was still his second best result of 2025.

2025 Misano WorldSBK ResultsWorldSBK heads to Misano with everyone chasing Nicolo Bulega.
Oncu (61) held his composure to fend off Masia (51) and Debise to take the race two win.

A strong ride from 14th place on the grid – and with his eventual result helped to some degree by big name crashes – placed Jeremy Alcoba (Kawasaki WorldSSP Team) in fifth, equalling his rookie season best from Round One in Australia.

He managed to break away from a chasing group but the front runners were well clear of any late attack, even if the race had went to its full 18 lap duration.

Roberto Garcia (GMT94-Yamaha) was sixth, Mattia Casadei (Motozoo ME air racing MV Agusta) seventh and Bo Bendsneyder (MV Agusta Reparto Corse) eighth in the heat and dust at Misano on Sunday.

The top ten was rounded out by Federico Caricasulo (D34G WorldSSP Racing Team Ducati) and Leonardo Taccini (Ecosantagata Althea Racing Team Ducati).

In all, ten riders did not finish, with high-profile fallers including Tom Booth-Amos (PTR Triumph Factory Racing), Marcel Schrötter (WRP Racing Ducati), Lucas Mahias (GMT94-Yamaha) and Corentin Perolari (Honda RACING World Supersport).

And, of course, Manzi.

In the championship, Manzi still holds a vast 47 point lead, despite his second no-score of the season. His 210 points play Oncu’s 163, Bendsneyder’s 156 and Masia’s 146.

WorldSBK Superpole Race

A clash between Axel Bassani (bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team) and leader Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) saw them both off at the first corner of the ten-lap Superpole race.

An attempted inside line pass into T1 saw Bassani run out of lean angle and crash, taking Bulega with him.

2025 Misano WorldSBK ResultsWorldSBK heads to Misano with everyone chasing Nicolo Bulega.
Razgatlioglu (1) headed home Alex Lowes (22) and Locatelli (55) in the Superpole race.

With the track wide open after this early drama Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) went on to win by 4.2 seconds from Alex Lowes (bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team).

That second place was the entire new bimota project’s first podium – leaving the Italian-based manufacturer both in the depth of depression and floating along in elation at their literal home round.

Andrea Locatelli (Pata Maxus Yamaha) pushed his way to third place, but some 1.8 seconds behind the number 22 bimota.

Danilo Petrucci (Barni Spark Racing Team Ducati) was off the podium in fourth, with Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) fifth and Sam Lowes (ELF Marc VDS Racing Team Ducati) sixth.

2025 Misano WorldSBK ResultsWorldSBK heads to Misano with everyone chasing Nicolo Bulega.
Bassani lost the front of the bimota at turn one and sent championship leader Bulega (11) flying into the gravel trap.

A confidence-booster for Jonathan Rea (Pata Maxus Yamaha) saw him seventh, one position up on Aussie rider Remy Gardner (GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team).

HRC Honda pairing Iker Lecuona and Xavi Vierge completed the top ten, with Garrett Gerloff (Kawasaki WorldSBK Team) and his lone Ninja taking 11th place.

WorldSBK Race One

Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) and Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) rode their own private race in hot conditions in the first 21-lap contest of the Misano weekend, finishing well clear of all their rivals.

Other than running very wide into the Quercia corner, dropping him down the order for a short time, Razgatlioglu did a lot of the front running as Bulega started from (a penalised) fourth place on the grid.

2025 Misano WorldSBK ResultsWorldSBK heads to Misano with everyone chasing Nicolo Bulega.
Razgatlioglu (1) and Bulega (11) played cat and mouse all race but the number one had the superior pace in race one.

The late passing move from Bulega that all expected did not materialise and Toprak finished half a second up on his great championship rival.

No less than 16.684 seconds behind the race winner was final podium finisher Danilo Petrucci (Barni Spark Racing Team Ducati), with Alex Lowes (bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team) right with him to the end. He was only 0.140 seconds from Petrucci over the line.

Lowes had tried an earlier pass to aim for a first bimota podium of 2025, but he was rebuffed by the local Ducati rider.

Lowes was thus fourth, having started fifth, but a tremendous second place start from Axel Bassani (bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team) ended on lap two when he crashed out at T6.

2025 Misano WorldSBK ResultsWorldSBK heads to Misano with everyone chasing Nicolo Bulega.
Petrucci (9) held on for a home podium, denying Alex Lowes and bimota (22) their first WorldSBK podium in this new iteration.

Andrea Locatelli (Pata Maxus Yamaha) had been closing in on the podium places at the end, but finished a close fifth, with Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) sixth – despite running very wide at the Quercia left hand hairpin earlier in the race.

Sam Lowes (ELF Marc VDS Racing Team Ducati) had finished sixth overall but was penalised for exceeding the track limits too often. An extra three seconds on his lap time placed him seventh, officially.

Yari Montella (Barni Spark Racing Team Ducati) was eighth, Iker Lecuona (Honda HRC) ninth and the battling Scott Redding (MGM BONOVO Racing Ducati) tenth.

WorldSSP Race one

Stefano Manzi (Ten Kate Racing Yamaha) won a five rider battle for the WorldSSP Race One victory, despite starting from the fourth row of the grid.

He soon overturned his tenth place launch, and once in the leading pack he used all his experience in the final few corners to cross the line with half a second of a winning advantage in hand.

2025 Misano WorldSBK ResultsWorldSBK heads to Misano with everyone chasing Nicolo Bulega.
Manzi (62) kept his cool to finish ahead of Masia (in third in this pic) and Oncu (61).

Jaume Masia (Orelac Racing VerdNatura Ducati), who was on pole, finished second after coming out top in a final lap fight with third placed Can Öncü (Yamaha bLU cRU Evan Bros Racing).

Valentin Debise (Renzi Corse Ducati) missed out on a podium by just 0.055 seconds, with Tom Booth-Amos (PTR Triumph Factory Racing) the final rider in the leading group. The leading five riders finished within 1.783 seconds of each other.

Marcel Schrötter (WRP Racing Ducati) was sixth, just holding off the upwardly mobile Jeremy Alcoba (Kawasaki WorldSSP Team). The Kawasaki rider had started 13th but finished seventh.

Lucas Mahias (GMT94-Yamaha) was another on the charge through all 18-laps, having started 15th but finishing eighth.

The top ten was completed by Federico Caricasulo (D34G WorldSSP Racing Team Ducati) and Philipp Öttl (Feel Racing WorldSSP Team Ducati).

WorldSBK Superpole

Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) made a remarkable early lap to head up the Superpole qualifying on Saturday morning, until Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) eventually bettered it – and even got into the 1’31s.

Bulega’s final pre-race sweep around the 4.226km Misano circuit was – temporarily – the eventual best lap, and a new track best of 1’31.618 to take pole. For a time.

He had been deemed to have ridden slowly on the racing line, and was dropped from pole to fourth.

2025 Misano WorldSBK ResultsWorldSBK heads to Misano with everyone chasing Nicolo Bulega.
Bulega took the fastest lap but was penalized from riding slow on the racing line. Razgatlioglu thus emerged with the pole.

With Razgatlioglu initially second, then first, a new high water mark came for one of WorldSBK’s prodigal manufacturers – as local rider Axel Bassani (bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team) secured the first front row start on the KB998 Rimini machine, with an eventual second place result.

Sam Lowes finished up third fastest, giving the Elf Marc VDS squad a strong grid spot for Saturday afternoon’s opening race. His brother Alex was finally fifth, on the second bimota BB998.

Remy Gardner (GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team) placed his Italian-based privateer squad on the second row with his sixth best Superpole lap that just made it onto the time sheets at the end of the session.

Declared fit to ride after missing Most, Andrea Iannone (Team Pata GoEleven Ducati) was seventh quickest, then penalised by a three position drop of slow riding and, was thus tenth, making him the first rider on the fourth row for Race One and Sunday’s Superpole Race.

Andrea Locatelli (Pata Maxus Yamaha), Danilo Petrucci (Barni Spark Racing Team Ducati) and Yari Montella (Barni Spark Racing Team Ducati) filled out the places from seventh to ninth, after Iannone’s demotion to tenth.

Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) was 11th. Top Honda rider was Iker Lecuona (Honda HRC), in 12th. Garrett Gerloff (Kawasaki WorldSBK Team) was 15th.
