Good morning Glendale! Welcome to round four of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series, the indoor series of the SuperMotocross World Championship. We’ve got boots on the ground to bring you all the action from State Farm Stadium. Stay tuned to this thread for live updates throughout the day.
After six races and five different winners, Chase Sexton and Jordon Smith are the night’s overall winners.

MAIN EVENTS
450 Main 1
Cooper Webb dominated the opening 450 race. The Star Racing Yamaha grabbed the holeshot in the first race of the night and held the top spot from start to finish. He uncorked the big triple over the start straight and held off a number of attacks from Jett Lawrence in second. The two finished just over two seconds apart at the line.

Jett Lawrence pressured Webb but ultimately took second.
Chase Sexton finished third after a long battle with Ken Roczen. Sexton looked aggressive and turned up the heat as the race continued. He passed into podium territory but was too far behind to catch Lawrence or Webb in front.
Roczen and Sexton battled this close for most of main one.

450 Main 2
The second 450 main event was arguably the most exciting race of the night. Ken Roczen emerged with the lead after bumping his way through the first turn. The Suzuki rider sprinted away and opened up a four second lead in the early laps. He began getting pressure from Jett Lawrence but held the top spot from start to finish.
Roczen led all of race two.
Lawrence charged his way to the back of Roczen and made things interesting as he applied pressure from behind. The Honda rider never managed to pass Roczen and starts the night with two second place finishes.
Another second place for Jett in moto two.
Chase Sexton battled up to third once again. The KTM rider rode with noticeable intensity and pushed his way to the back of the two leaders. Sexton turned up the heat and found himself holding off Tomac while trying to catch Lawrence. Still, Sexton has two third places to start the night.
Chase Sexton looked aggressive and passed into third.

450SX Main 3
Finally Eli Tomac gets the start! The fan favorite number-three crossed the holeshot line third but made his way to the lead in the early in the final main of the night. Tomac made things look easy and put himself in contention for the overall podium. Even with a win, Roczen’s late-race improvements dropped him off the overall podium.
Tomac got the start and won the final main of the night.
Chase Sexton also got a good start in the final race of the night. He put his KTM into second place which set him up for the overall win, one point clear of Cooper Webb. Despite not winning a main all night, Sexton’s consistency paid off with the overall. is now the first repeat winner of the year and in control of the points lead.
Sexton chased Tomac in the final main.
Webb played it safe in third in the last main of the night. He pressured Sexton late in the race but was unable to get close enough to make a pass for a better position. Webb finished third on the night, one point back from Sexton.
Cooper Webb finished third in the final race, landing second overall for the night.
Ken Roczen got his worst start in the final race and was forced to come from behind in order to land on the podium. Roczen battled with Justin Hill and Justin Barcia for the entire race three and finally made a pass stick on Barcia for fifth with two laps to go. This pass solidified his third overall and bumped Tomac off the box.
Roczen’s late-race pass in the third moto earned him an overall podium.
Jett Lawrence pulled off at the start of race three with what looks to be an injured knee or ankle. He did not finish the race and is credited with eighth overall.

250 Main 1
A wild start to the first 250SX main event as Julien Beaumer holeshotted the field and let them into the opening lap. Beaumer tucked the front and fell in the turn just after the whoop section. His fall caused a domino effect and took down a number of contenders including Jo Shimoda.

Cole Davies took over the lead and held the top spot for the duration of the opening race. He was pressured from Jordon Smith but the Triumph rider never got close enough to make a pass for the lead. They’d cross first and second.
Jordon Smith stayed close for second place.
Haiden Deegan ran up front early in the race but fell in the same corner in as Beaumer a few laps later. This mistake opened dropped him to fourth and essentially ruined his shot at a race win. He later passed his teammate Michael Mosiman and finished third.
Deegan fell early but rebounded for third.
Beaumer rebounded from a first lap crash to take fourth at the line, just one spot behind Deegan.
Beaumer started up front but fell on the opening lap.

250SX Main 2
Another exciting start to the second 250 main event as Julien Beaumer grabbed another big holeshot. Unfortunately the same situation unfolded again as the KTM tucked the front end and fell in the second turn. This dropped him out of contention from the get go. He eventually finished seventh.
Beaumer crashed again at the start of race two.
Cole Davies capitalized with the lead once again and took off with the top spot. The rookie looked comfortable out front and held off his Star Racing Yamaha teammate Deegan for the duration of the second moto. Davies is now two-for-two to start the night.
Davies led Deegan in race two.
Deegan rode like a man possessed in the second moto but came up short of the win. He was the first 250 to hit the big triple over the start straight but couldn’t find a place to pass Davies. He’s improved one spot from race one, going 3-2 to start the night.
Deegan ran a close second but couldn’t pass his teammate Davies.
Jordon Smith battled his way to third in race two. The Triumph rider once again found himself in a podium position after battling Michael Mosiman throughout the moto.
Smith stayed on the podium with a third in race two.

250 Main 3
More carnage on the start of the final 250 main event as Cole Davies crashed on the opening lap. Suddenly his hopes of a perfect night went out the window. His Star Racing teammate, Michael Mosiman held the lead early before handing it over to Jordon Smith.
Jordon Smith won the final main of the night.
From there, Smith ran away with the main event win. His consistent scores early in the night (3-2) meant that a win in the final main pushed him to the top of the overall podium. With six points on the night, he’s the overall winner in Glendale. Smith now jumps to second in points.
Beaumer’s best finish came with a second in the final main.
Julien Beaumer put in his best result of the night in the final main. The KTM rider learned from his opening race mistakes and stayed close to Smith in the closing laps. Even with a second in the final race, Beaumer takes fourth overall.
Michael Mosiman held off Deegan for third in main three.
Michael Mosiman held on for second in the final main with Deegan one spot back in fourth. Deegan’s 3-2-4 puts him second on the night but drops him to third in the championship points.
Deegan crossed fourth in race three, but took second overall.
Cole Davies battled up to eighth after a fall in the final race. This saved his overall score, putting him third and bumped Beaumer off the podium.

QUALIFYING #2
450SX
The final 450 qualifying session saw the top riders going for broke as they pushed their bikes and the track to the limit. Jett Lawrence set the best time of the day with ultimate precision on the hard-packed soil. His time held up six-tenths quicker than the rest of the field! Chase Sexton was second with Eli Tomac and Ken Roczen rounding out the top four. They were all upping the pace and were the only riders to clock a 58-second time.

Chase Sexton was close second and one of four riders on the 58-second mark.
Eli Tomac sits third overall going into the Triple Crown.

Qualifying has been an all-out slugfest this year. Once again Haiden Deegan and Julien traded fast laps back to back throughout both sessions. Beaumer put in the best time and was the only 250 rider to break the one-minute mark, putting him about four-tenths faster than Deegan in second. Jordon Smith looked fast for third overall with Cole Davies and Anthony Bourdon rounding out the top five.

Only the top 18 riders will qualify directly to the main events tonight. The rest will be forced to ride the LCQ before the three main events. Jett Lawrence clocked the best time of the session one but was only 0.05 seconds ahead of Chase Sexton’s best time. They were the only two riders to crack the one-minute mark. Cooper Webb qualified third but was seven-tenths back from Sexton and Lawrence.

Julien Beaumer jumped to the top of the boards in the first 250 qualifier. The Arizona native was the only rider in the one-minute range and is about half a second faster than Haiden Deegan and Cole Davies going into the second session. Drew Adams time held up for fifth but a later crash will likely rule him out for the night.
