Cycle News Staff | December 4, 2024
The 27th annual Red Bull Day In The Dirt took over the iconic hillsides of Glen Helen Raceway over Thanksgiving weekend. Big names and weekend warriors alike came together for the SoCal tradition, which stays true to the presenting sponsor Fasthouse’s theme of gas and beer.

Former pros like Marvin Musquin, Ryan Villopoto, Jeremy McGrath and Jake Weimer all lined up for the festivities, which saw an elongated Grand Prix-style course covering the entirety of the Glen Helen facility.
Results are hardly a talking point as riders “come for the race but stay for the party.” However, Musquin came away with wins in Saturday’s Pro/Am 450 GP ahead of RJ Wageman, Todd Sibell, Dane Morales and Jayce Cannon.
Musquin also won the Two-Stroke GP 30 class.
Brandy Richards took the Pro/Am 250 GP win, while Jayce Cannon took top honors in the Two-Stroke GP 29 Pro class.
Robbie Wageman partnered with Ben Campbell to beat his brother RJ and his teammate Kamy Bruder in the Moto-A-GoGo Team race. The Collin Shiner and Ayrton Ward duo took third.
Mark Tilley won the popular Senior Vet Grand Prix.
In the weekend’s finale, the anything-goes Coupe Grace GP Survival Race, RJ Wageman cruised to victory ahead of Blayne Thompson, Racer Fry, Austin Warren and Noah Gordon. CN
