Unfortunate news from RJ Hampshire today as the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna rider confirmed he’s out for this weekend’s finale of the SuperMotocross Playoffs in Las Vegas, Nevada. The number-24 suffered crashes at both Playoffs, Charlotte and Texas, and is opting to sit out the final round in hopes of healing the wrist he injured at the beginning of the Pro Motocross Championship.
“Would’ve loved to have a good ending in Vegas but after aggravating my wrist again in Charlotte, then the crash last weekend we all decided it was best to sit out this weekend,” Hampshire said. “Take the offseason to get my wrist back to 100% and focus on 2025!”
Here’s a look at Hampshire’s crash during the Texas round of SMX.
The Husqvarna team also put out a statement confirming Hampshire’s absence. “RJ Hampshire will be sitting out the Las Vegas SuperMotocross Finale after suffering a crash in Moto 2 at Round 2 of the SMX Playoffs in Texas. RJ is already gearing up for an intense off-season of training and setting his sights on the 2025 season.”
