Hayden Gillim won a dramatic 2024 Loudon Classic at New Hampshire Speedway, NH, on Saturday, June 10.
Gillim, the defending MotoAmerica King of The Baggers and Stock 1000 Champion, had to work for it as he got a poor start on the Vesra/Steel Commander Suzuki GSX-R750 and was forced to come back through the field, hunting down Vision Wheels M4 ECSTAR Suzuki rider Tyler Scott and passing him on the 21st of 25 laps and sprinting away to a 1.5s victory.
Gillim’s pass on Scott late in the race netted him an extra $20K for first place.
Gillim’s win netting the Kentuckian a handsome $55,000 prize money. Scott’s second place saw $35,000 hit his bank account and third placed Bobby Fong (Wrench Motorcycles Suzuki GSX-R750) took home $25,000 and sealed an all Suzuki/Dunlop podium.
Fourth place went to Stefano Mesa (Boulder Motor Sports Ducati Panigale V2), who headed the second M4 Suzuki of Teagg Hobbs in fifth.
Rounding out the top 10 was Bauce Racing Yamaha’s Joseph LiMandri, Jr., Yamaha-mounted Ben Gloddy, BARTCON Racing Yamaha’s Eli Block, Fong’s teammate/team owner David Anthony was ninth, and Eric Wood (Ducati) completed the top 10 finishers.
Tyler O’Hara made it look easy in the Outlaw Bagger class, winning by over 20 seconds.
