Press Release | May 22, 2024
OrangeCat Racing’s Travis Wyman announces SP Connect as his primary sponsor for 2024 MotoAmerica season. Phone accessories manufacturer renews promotional partnership with Wyman to grow brand awareness within American motorcycle community.
This is a press release from SP United USA, Inc…
There will be a familiar logo front and center on Travis Wyman’s leathers and BMW M 1000 RR, as the OrangeCat Racing rider has renewed—and gained increased support from—smart-device mounting solutions manufacturer SP Connect for the full 2024 MotoAmerica season.
The Vienna, Austria-based brand—which is just one line of products produced by parent company SP United—is working with Wyman to increase awareness of its brand and wide range of smartphone accessories designed for motorcyclists in the United States.
“SP Connect isn’t just another logo on my leathers – I use their products everyday and am seriously impressed by their quality and durability,” Wyman said. “I was introduced to the SP Connect phone mounting system several years ago by a friend, and I now have SP Connect phone mounts on my motorcycles, on my mountain bike, in my truck and around my home. SP Connect and I kicked off a marketing partnership before the 2023 MotoAmerica season, and I’m delighted to have renewed our partnership for this year.”
Originally founded as a manufacturing company for snowboard bindings in 1988, SP United launched the SP Connect smartphone mounting system in 2016. With business operations in the United States, European Union, China, and Australia, SP Connect products are used by motorcycle enthusiasts around the world.
In addition to its mounting products for motorcycles, the versatile SP Connect mounting system also can be used with bicycle, automotive, fitness and everyday applications. SP Connect’s versatility and commitment to quality are demonstrated through multiple partnerships with global manufacturers, including Harley Davidson, BMW, KTM and Ducati.
Wyman will have a display and example products at the OrangeCat Racing paddock space at the five MotoAmerica Stock 1000 rounds in 2024 — which take place at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Ala. (May 17-19), Brainerd International Raceway in Brainerd, Minn. (June 14-16), The Ridge Motorsports Park in Shelton, Wash. (June 28-30), Laguna Seca in Monterey, Calif. (July 12-14), and New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, N.J. (Sept. 27-29).
