Zitterkopf Teamed with Ted Hunnicutt to win SCORE International Event
In this week’s Throwback we turn back the clock 32 years to April of 1992 and land in San Felipe in the state of Baja California in Mexico. The photo shows Greg Zitterkopf taking the checkered flag at the finish of the San Felipe 250. Team Green was slated to field Larry Roeseler on the squad as well, but he didn’t make it back from an ISDE Qualifier, leaving the Zitterkopf and Hunnicutt duo to cover the entire distance of the SCORE Championship round by themselves. It proved to be no problem. Zitterkopf and Hunnicutt handled their increased mileage like champs and scored victory on their Kawasaki KX500.
