Temecula, CA (April 2, 2024) — The Kurt Caselli Foundation announces the successful wrap-up of The Ride Day 2023 Commemorating Kurt Caselli, which took place on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Fox Raceway, Pala, California. Celebrating Kurt’s legacy, the event attracted 816 enthusiasts and supporters from across the nation, raising $64,251 to enhance off-road safety and fund educational scholarships. We are thrilled to report that the event generated $24,251 in proceeds and an additional $40,000 from our bike giveaway. These contributions are vital for our continued efforts to support off-road and motocross safety initiatives and educational scholarships.
The day was filled with memorable moments that celebrated Kurt Caselli and the spirit of off-road riding. Participants were invited to a variety of experiences, from open riding on tracks and an off-road loop to the entertaining Pro-Am Caselli Team Challenge boxer race. Following the race, the community united on track for a special memorial parade lap to honor Kurt. There were practice sessions tailored for new riders and adaptive athletes, dirt bike classes led by USMCA Certified coaches, a Riders First Responders seminar to boost rider safety, and the opportunity to test ride the latest KTM and Husqvarna bikes.
Highlighting the event were the live broadcast announcements: Maggie Michel of Las Vegas, NV, who was celebrated as the Spring 2024 Kurt Caselli Scholarship Recipient, receiving a $6,600 scholarship.
This scholarship signifies our commitment to providing a safety net that allows and encourages racers to further their education and reach career goals. The bike giveaway rounded out the presentation with Steve Fox of El Paso, TX, being named the lucky winner of the 2024 KTM 500. To relive the memorable moments of the event or for those who could not join us in person, coverage including the event video, photos, and more details are available at KurtCaselli.com/RideDay2023.
