Austin Forkner is on the mend after suffering a scary crash while leading the 250SX East main event at the Arlington Supercross on February 24.
Little official information has been released regarding his injuries, besides Kawasaki saying that he suffered a spine and scapula injury.
Forkner was seen after the crash up and walking with the assistance of the trackside medical crew, but it was obvious that he was in a lot of pain.
However, it’s been reported by his father, Mike, via social media that Austin suffered a fractured L3 and L4 vertebra in his back and suffered a broken scapula. Evidently, no surgery is needed at this point, which is good news.
Mr. Forkner also said he has been discharged from the hospital and heading back to California. CN
