2023 Red Bull Romaniacs Offroad Day 4 and Final Overall Results
Germany’s Mani Lettenbichler became a four-time winner of the grueling Red Bull Romaniacs with his win at the 2023, twentieth anniversary edition. The event consists of a downtown prologue event and four days of off-road competition. In the end, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Lettenbichler logged nineteen hours and forty-five minutes of riding time over the four off-road days. And due mostly to dominating the end of day one when a major thunderstorm wreaked havoc on the course and competitors, the German won the overall by over an hour ahead of his KTM teammate Trystan Hart.
“What a crazy journey. Fourth here at Red Bull Romaniacs definitely meant quite a bit, especially after last year so I definitely wanted to get this win and we finally made it,” Lettenbichler said at the finish.
Hart finished second overall, nearly one-hour and ten minutes behind Lettenbichler. The FMF KTM off-road rider put in a strong week of racing in Romania, setting the fastest segment times in several of the day one before losing a lot of time to his teammate at the end of the day to finish second on that day. The Canadian backed up his strong day one result with fourth place finishes on the second and third days and a sixth-place finish on the fourth and final day to secure second overall for the week.
“This was pretty sick to be honest,” Hart said about the crazy final hill climb to end the four days of racing. “I think this was pretty good for the fans. They kind of built some gnarly shit to be honest and I didn’t do it that pretty. I was throwing my bike here, throwing it there and after a couple of sketchy moments, I said you know what, I am going to cruise this one out.”
Bulgaria’s Teodor Kabakchiev had an amazing week in Romania to win the second and fourth days of racing and finishing third overall. He could have possibly challenged Hart and Lettenbichler for the top steps if he did not lose so much time on day one, when he gave up an hour and twelve minutes to Lettenbichler and forty-nine minutes to Hart. He ultimately finished an hour and twenty-four minutes behind the winner and fifteen minutes behind Hart.
“In the end it was crazy, especially that last uphill” said the Kabakchiev, the winner of the fourth and final day of racing. “I messed it up two times and the second time I was like no way I’m getting down again so I just pulled the bike up and at the moment, I am happy.”
The UK’s Billy Bolt was reasonably satisfied to finish fourth overall due to a recent shoulder injury keeping him off the bike for several weeks. The Husqvarna rider held third in the overall going into the final day but lost out to Kabakchiev, who won the day to move past Bolt to take the final podium spot. Bolt’s combined race time for the week totaled up to twenty-one hours and forty minutes.
Sherco’s Wade Young rounded out the top five. The South African was steady all week but could not quite match the pace of the top four overall finishers on any given day. He was fourth on day one when Kabakchiev struggled and then finished sixth, seventh and fourth on days two, three and four respectively.

2023 Red Bull Romaniacs Offroad Day 3
Mani Lettenbichler set the pace on day three of the Red Bull Romaniacs ending the day with a total time of five hours and thirty-nine minutes. The KTM rider topped day two winner Teodor Kabakchiev by 14 minutes. Lettenbichler set the fastest time in seven of the eleven timed sections.
Sherco’s Mario Roman had his best day yet to finish third on day three, 20 minutes behind Lettenbichler but still finds himself seventh overall due to a tough day one.
Trystan Hart finished day three in fourth place, just a few seconds behind Roman.
Austria’s Michael Walkner rounded out the top five, 29 minutes behind the winner.
Billy Bolt started the day in third overall and finished sixth on the day to fall further behind Hart and within the grasp of Kabakchiev.
Lettenbichler increased his overall lead to 58 minutes over his KTM teammate Trystan Hart. Bolt held onto third in the overall standings after day three but is now 23 minutes behind Hart with just one day to go. Kabakchiev is just 5 minutes behind Bolt in fourth place in a close battle for the final podium spot. Sherco’s Wade Young holds fifth place, nearly 15 minutes back.

Bulgaria’s Teo Kabakchiev topped the Romaniacs day two results sheet with a total riding time of over five hours. Mani Lettenbichler started first due to his overall lead from day one and finished first for the day but Kabakchiev, who started further back finished with a time that was 2 minutes quicker than Lettenbichler.
Billy Bolt was third on the day, about 13 minutes behind the winner but more importantly, 2 minutes faster than Trystan Hart, who was second on day one and fourth on day two.
Austria’s Michael Walkner had another steady ride to finish fifth, 22 minutes behind the fast time for day two.
Lettenbichler is still on top of the overall results after day two and increased his lead to over 37 minutes over fellow KTM rider Trystan Hart. Bolt remains in third place, 45 minutes behind the lead. Wade Young is still in fourth place, one hour and 3 minutes behind. Kabakchiev moved up to fifth on the overall time sheets with his win, but he is one hour and 11 minutes behind Lettenbichler.

Red Bull KTM’s Mani Lettenbichler came out on top of the 2023 Red Bull Romaniacs Offroad day one results. The German trailed fellow KTM rider Trystan Hart in the early sections of the but a major rainstorm changed everything later in the day and that is when Lettenbichler set the fastest times and opened a large gap on his competition. He ended the day with a time of 4 hours, 46 minutes and 16 seconds.
Hart set the fastest time in four of the twelve timed sections on the day but finished second on total time for day one, over 23 minutes behind Lettenbichler.
Husqvarna rider Billy Bolt finished third on Day one, 34 minutes behind the lead.
Wade Young raced his Sherco to fourth on the day and set the fastest time at check point ten. He ended day one 41 minutes behind the leader.
Michael Walkner rounded out the top five on Offroad day one with consistent times all day. He is 50 minutes behind.
Graham Jarvis, the Romaniacs defending champion, moved up from his prologue time to finish day one in sixth position.

The UK’s Billy Bolt came out on top of the prologue results to kick off the 2023 Red Bull Romaniacs riding his Husqvarna. The three-time FIM SuperEnduro champion thrived on the manmade downtown track. Germany’s Mani Lettenvichler the winner of the first two rounds of the 2023 FIM Hard Enduro Championship finished second on his KTM. Spain’s Alfredo Gomez rounded out the top three riding his Rieju.
KTM Rider Dominik Olszowy finished fourth and Sherco’s Wade Young rounded out the top five. Canadian KTM rider Trystan Hart finished sixth.
