Using a computer-controlled process and innovative materials, Rev3D is pioneering additive manufacturing—also known as 3D printing—for the off-road world with its new line of Carbon case savers.
Designed to protect the engine case from damage caused by a chain break, the carbon-fiber-infused protector is engineered to collapse where necessary to prevent breakage at the mounting holes.
Rev3D says that they are as strong as comparable aluminum units but are half the weight. Installation hardware is included, in either titanium or anodized aluminum, and fitments are available for newer GasGas, Husqvarna, KTM and Yamaha off-road motorcycles. Case savers are available with either anodized aluminum or titanium hardware, and the anodized hardware has pre-drilled holes for using safety wire.
