Borgo Panigale, Bologna (July 20, 2022) – Everything is ready at the Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli” to welcome the thousands of Ducatisti arriving for World Ducati Week 2022, which officially gets underway July 22, four years after the last edition.
For weeks, managers, mechanics, racing teams, and Ducati staff have been working hard to give life to an incredible weekend of emotion, passion, and fun. Every day the entire program includes laps on the track, meetings with the riders, talks, competitions, test rides on Ducati bikes, taxi drives in Audis and Lamborghinis, world premieres, riding experiences on and off the circuit, on asphalt or dirt roads, good food and great events in the name of conviviality and the pleasure of being together.

It all gets underway on Friday, July 22 with some of the most memorable moments, such as the lap of honor with all the riders present at the event, including the historical ones that have taken the Red bikes of Borgo Panigale to triumph on circuits all over the world and who have maintained a strong bond with the Ducatisti, their great fans. Carl Fogarty, Troy Bayliss, Chaz Davies, Régis Laconi, and Rubén Xaus will join today’s riders and lap on the track, celebrating the pride of being Ducatisti.
Also, on Friday, in the Adventure area dedicated to the off-road world, the e-bike race on Ducati TK-01RRs is confirmed. Nine riders, including Troy and Oliver Bayliss, Carl Fogarty, and Chaz Davies, will compete in a thrilling off-road competition.
On the same day, late afternoon, it will be the time for the parade, one of the most special rituals for the Ducatisti. Starting from a lap of the circuit, the colorful snake of motorcycles will pass through Cattolica and Misano to arrive at the beach in Riccione at the Scrambler Beach Party. The Bagno Samsara Beach in Riccione will host an evening of music and entertainment with the music of the famous Italian DJ and producer Benny Benassi.
One of the most anticipated moments of the big Ducati gathering is Saturday, July 23: the Lenovo Race of Champions. 21 Ducati riders competing in the MotoGP, Superbike, and Supersport championships, will take to the track to put on an exciting show on Panigale V4 and Panigale V2 bikes in a double-category competition with two winners. Challenging each other, among others, will be Pecco Bagnaia, Jack Miller, Johann Zarco, Jorge Martin, Enea Bastianini, Fabio Di Giannatonio, Luca Marini, Marco Bezzecchi, Michele Pirro, Danilo Petrucci, Alvaro Bautista, Michael Ruben Rinaldi, Nicolò Bulega and Oliver Bayliss. For those fans who will not be able to follow the race live can connect to the dedicated page of the Ducati website, which will broadcast live streaming from free practice to the race.

New for the 2022 edition is FantaWDW, a web app game that will allow everyone to create a team of riders to make a victory prediction for the Lenovo Race of Champions. Through a series of actions, you earn points that can be spent to enter your team. After the legendary challenge between the Ducati riders, the ranking of those players who participated in FantaWDW will be available on the Ducati website and on the screens on the circuit.

Wrapping up Saturday evening will be the traditional Rustida (typical BBQ) served directly on the circuit main straight by the Ducati managers, this year enriched by a unique recipe created by Chef Riccardo Monco of the three-star Michelin restaurant Enoteca Pinchiorri. Shortly after, the Misano Municipal Stadium adjacent to the circuit will host the stage from which the riders will greet the Ducatisti. The evening will then continue with a DJ set by Meduza, the Italian house music trio with more than 15 million streaming listeners capable of selling out entire live tours in clubs worldwide.
The World Ducati Week will also be an opportunity to celebrate the dual bike of Borgo Panigale with the Multistrada Reunion, the first official meeting for Multistrada riders from all over the world. In the tent dedicated to the Multistrada world, where many activities will take place that will illustrate the history, the technology, and the characters linking the motorcycle to its universe, an exclusive celebratory holographic sticker for Ducati Multistrada owners of any model will be distributed.
World Ducati Week is not all about the track. Sessions on the track and test rides on the road are accompanied by an Adventure area dedicated to all off-road enthusiasts. The Ducati DesertX’s debut enriches DRE Adventure’s program, in which the new “21-18” wheel design allows Ducati to naturally join the Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled and Multistrada V4 in the portfolio of bikes that can be tested on the off-road track set up within the circuit. The same scenario will also be the scene for exhibitions by Danilo Petrucci and Antoine Meo. They will then meet the public to talk about their experiences riding the DesertX and Multistrada in the Ducati Talks and will be available for meet & greet sessions. It will be possible to admire the Audi RS Q e-tron of the Paris Dakar and the DesertX with the Audi-inspired livery in the same area in.
