Beta-mounted Ethan Ficklin, KTM rider Stephen Edmondson, Honda pilot Robby Norwood and Kawasaki rider Evan Earl ended up spending all afternoon battling it out in the lead pack, with Ficklin leading the way after lap one.

The lead position would change several times, while Earl started finding his groove and started picking riders off until he had the lead. He set the fastest lap time of the race en route to the front. Once there, he led to the finish but could never truly relax, because Edmondson was never far behind.
