2022 Ducati Streetfighter V4 SP First Look
Rennie Scaysbrook | November 11, 2021
To ride a Ducati Streetfighter at speed is an experience in itself. I’ve been fortunate to have done so on many occasions and I can tell you first hand, the stock V4 S is all anyone will ever need in terms of naked biking madness.
Until it’s not.
That’s why Ducati has decided to bring even more bonkers to your biking bash with the new Streetfighter V4 SP. As the name suggests, the SP is a special one, laced with a number of goodies like BST carbon wheels, an STM dry slipper clutch, the latest generation Ohlins Smart EC 2.0 electronic suspension, and a smattering of carbon fiber bits including wings and mud guards, plus CNC machined pegs, and a lithium ion battery.
You still get the raucous 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stradale with 208 hp and a torque number of 90.4 lb-ft at 9,500 rpm, but the kicker is this will cost you a very pretty $35,500 MSRP, which is close to double the price of the base model Streetfighter V4 ($19,995) and $10K more than the V4 S at $25,195.
Hey, if you have to have it, who care what it costs?
Oh, we rode a jazzed-up V4 S that’s pretty similar to this V4 SP earlier in the year, the test of which you can read here.
