Fifteen year old Tyler Scott will bring KTM back into MotoAmerica competition in 2021 when the former Red Bull Rookies star fronts the Liqui Moly Junior Cup grid on a RC 390.
Scott has raced for the past two seasons in Europe where he competed in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup and then the European Talent Cup in Spain, with his entry in MotoAmerica supported by Scott Powersports in Coopersburg, Pennsylvania.
“Racing both the Rookie and Talent Cups was an awesome experience for sure,” Tyler said. “But I grew up racing minis with a lot of my friends who have been racing in MotoAmerica, and I can’t wait to battle with them again on home soil.”
Scott has successfully in Flat Track for several years, winning several AMA Flattrack Grand national championships and Youth Rider of the Year), while also showcasing the KTM 790 DUKE in the CCS Road Racing Series when schedules permit.
A mutual friend and former MotoAmerica team owner Bob Robbins ignited the idea and set the various wheels in motion. “We were sort of in a funk about what to do this season” Mike Scott, owner of Scott Powersports said. “But when Bob mentioned this possibility and helped us connect the dots, it just got more and more exciting. We know and love the brand already, so we’re incredibly grateful for this opportunity,” Mike added.
