The following is the press release from SRC Moto for the new crash-bar system…
SRC Moto, Innovations for Adventure, is introducing a new crash bar system for the Royal Enfield Himalayan. Constructed of high-end materials and best-in-class processes, the SRC Crash Bars protect your bike against the inevitable tip-overs that happen to beginners as well as experienced riders. Designed to help distribute impact evenly throughout the structure to ensure maximum protection, and combined with excellent fitment and long-lasting materials, these bars are engineered to provide many years of service at a great value.
Constructed from 1 inch (2.5mm) drawn over mandrel (DOM) thick wall tubing, with a total weight of approximately 6.6 lbs (3.0 kg), the SRC Crash Bars also feature sacrificial heavy-duty Delrin guards at critical impact zones that can be easily replaced if they are damaged. Two options are available in either electropolished stainless-steel silver for $348 USD and satin black powder-coat steel for $288 USD. Both options include CNC laser-cut bracketry and mounts, premium hardware to ensure a precise fit, and a detailed installation guide. The SRC Crash Bars come fully assembled and can be installed in under an hour with common hand tools, no cutting or welding required. A 1-year materials and defects warranty is included with purchase from SRC MOTO.
Scott Hart, President of SRC Moto and Moto Stuff added this: “The Himalayan has become wildly popular with off-road and round-the-world riders because it is equipped with some pretty cool features that are part of its allure, but it lacks proper crash protection. And that is where these new crash bars from SRC Designs come into play. We saw the opportunity to complete the package and the fact that we were hearing the same need from other Himalayan riders just made it a no-brainer and to develop a crash-bar system to solve the problem.”
This new SRC crash bar system complements the many other SRC products available for the Royal Enfield Himalayan including protective guards, racks and luggage and electrical components. A formal Dealer Program is available for dealers located throughout the U.S., Canada, and Latin America.
